What is an Arm Awning?

Arm awnings are a type of awnings with an aluminum skeleton, on which quality fabric is spread (usually acrylic or “Shimshonit”), in a range of colors and patterns to choose from. The awning can open and fold easily, as it consists of a rolling pipe, and its arms fold into the base of the awning, collected elegantly.

An arm awning has a system to regulate the opening angle, so it can be adjusted according to need and  can also be easily cleaned.

The “Barak Group” arms awnings have a mechanism with two, three or four arms, made by MBK (Germany). They are made of light cream color coated aluminum and are anchored to a wall or concrete ceiling using special bases made of high quality aluminum.

The benefits of an arm awning

The arm awning has a number of significant benefits:

• Shade – The main advantage of these awnings is their goal – arm awnings provide perfect shading from the hot sun rays, as well as from rain and moisture. It is important to note that these awnings are not resistant to strong winds, so in winter days, keeping the awning closed is recommended.
• Full Folding – The awning can be folded and opened according to weather conditions, from fully opened to fully folded. In this way, shading can be controlled and even not use it at all when the weather is suitable.
• Size Adjustment – With a arms awning, both large areas and small areas can be shaded, as these are consolidated with the size of the space and each opening setting.
